Two "Boys" & a Science Project

Glass on the end of a strange stick.  This really was a science project.

The artist keeping track of results.  Wasn't this the job of the Scientist?

Sorry, but it is a secret and you know how secrets go.
As for it being a weapon of Mass Destruction, well i am not sure.

One is using his left brain and one is using his right brain.

Glass.

The artist is ready for work the scientist is ready for lunch.  Regardless it was a fun project and fun photographing two very smart men.

UNC Asheville Wellness Center

I would run around in a circle and listen to the sounds of the tennis courts.  Then one day the trees are gone and all that is left is open land.  With cold everywhere I saw dark lines of metal against blue sky so i started to take pictures.

Spring 2010.  Putting on the roof

Late winter 2010.  Very cold work.

Late 2009.  My favorite body of work is the black and white images

****
The body of man achieves what the mind of man believes.
The sounds of the tennis court stay with my memory.
I can hear those sounds tonight.

Tight Bros & Good Beer

Men and their Friends.

Ritual & Tight Bros.

Yea, he is still alive.  Maybe he needs another drink?
boys will always be boys..

Reaching into Hell for another beer.

The wonderful side affects of drinking with friends

The end results of beating the photographer in a foot race.

Would that you could live on the fragrance of the earth, and like an air plant be sustained by the light.
But since you must kill to eat, and rob the young of its mother's milk to quench your thirst, let it then be an act of worship,

Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.

Glass & Popsicles

John Payne.  The light on the glass.  Dark running for it's life and two children singing.
Robert paid the Gas Bill and out of no where a photographer shows up to take pictures.

The fan.  The heat and the help.

Light playing with vertical space.

The process of pulling.  Moving fast before it cools.

Watching, learning and blowing

Tools of the trade doing something fun

I had wanted to photograph Robert and his craft.  However, time was always not in the right place.  Then Robert finds the money to pay the Gas Bill and out of no where I find time.  Great friendship with good photos was and is the result.  More to follow.

Saving the World, One Project at a Time

He works all alone.  Some times a friend joins in and helps.  He learns as he goes and builds as he thinks and creates.  Nothing like him at the mall.  Nothing like him just about anywhere.  More to follow.
