Snowboard in Asheville
Fun Times in Downtown Asheville North Carolina
The weather is for the shits so what do i do? I head outside with my trusty Canon 50d.. and do my best to find wild crazy people having fun.
These two guys went to the trouble of building themselves a small little mound off to the right of the road. This fellow wins the prize for the best jump however he did have a few challenges getting to this jump.
This guy kicked butt. Every time he tried to do a jump he did a jump. Too bad for the trees.. but the jump was amazing with at least 3 feet of air on very sticky snow. great job!
Given there is no chair lift at the bottom of the street they would pick up their boards and head back up the hill getting ready for another ride down. In the 45 minutes I was there the police never came by and given their sub station is less then 50 feet away that is pretty good.
Good air. Urban Snowboarding at its best.!
Take a picture of my green glasses!
The energy and fun in the face.
This was a fun shoot!!

Ben Betsalel of the Wedge
Ben hitting a teeeny small white ball super fast..
November 2010
When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the "nay" in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "ay."
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is un-acclaimed.
The left brain is looking for the ball while the right brain is trying to figure out what the hell is going on..
Drive, with the small words of Wedge painted behind his back cause the ball to move forward with perfect form.
the left brain spots the ball and the right brain lives in the moment..
This is Ben outside his studio with his work on the walls.
If he must know the ebb of your tide,
let him know its flood also.

Temple Firing November 2010
The key seems to be to get the temp. right all the way around. Once it is right then it is time to rest and drink beer. That is what I have figured after all this time.
In the middle of the night. The cold air can not be felt unless one moves away from the heat.
Feeding the fire is the point.
The master Eric seals up the cracks. By application one gets steam and when you mix steam with light you get cool images.
Feeding the front of the temple
The gang at 2:00am in the morning. Copus was suppose to be taking a power nap but driven by the insanity he keeps moving forward with the help of a redbull.
Hell, or is that who are you and why are you taking my picture. If you don't behave I might throw you into the fire.
Copus feels the heat.
Hard work has created something from nothing. The mud is almost gone and what you have left is an amazing place built with talent and hours and hours of team effort.

Two "Boys" & a Science Project
Glass on the end of a strange stick. This really was a science project.
The artist keeping track of results. Wasn't this the job of the Scientist?
Sorry, but it is a secret and you know how secrets go.
As for it being a weapon of Mass Destruction, well i am not sure.
One is using his left brain and one is using his right brain.
Glass.
The artist is ready for work the scientist is ready for lunch. Regardless it was a fun project and fun photographing two very smart men.

UNC Asheville Wellness Center
I would run around in a circle and listen to the sounds of the tennis courts. Then one day the trees are gone and all that is left is open land. With cold everywhere I saw dark lines of metal against blue sky so i started to take pictures.

The body of man achieves what the mind of man believes.
The sounds of the tennis court stay with my memory.
I can hear those sounds tonight.
